Domainex was founded in 2002, by Prof. Laurence Pearl, Dr Paul Driscoll, Dr Renos Savva and Dr Chris Prodromou, based at the Institute of Cancer Research, UCL and Birkbeck College.

Dr Keith Powell has recently joined the company as CEO.

The company is based on a novel patented high throughput technology: Combinatorial Domain Hunting (CDH). CDH will generate soluble and active protein fragments, derived from well known proteins of interest that are otherwise not amenable to drug screening; because of their lack of solubility or expressibility. These soluble fragments will then be used as novel drug targets.

The company is working on its own targets and as a service provider
