What can the funding be used for?

The types of businesses in which the Fund invests are similar to those that are attractive to venture capitalists, the difference being that the Fund can invest at an earlier stage. Since the aim throughout the seed funding stage is to create a business that is venture capital ready, the investment is used exclusively to address the potential major concerns of follow-on investors. These may relate to the state of the technology, but will almost invariably involve developing the commercial strategy and/or management team.
