This £4 million Fund is open to all inventive scientists related to UCL, CR-UK, ICR, The Royal Veterinary College and The School of Pharmacy. We invest in any project related to life science. This could be in drug discovery, medical devices, diagnostics, research tools and more.

At present, we have invested in 8 companies. 3 of them have received follow-on investment (series A funding), raising over £13m in total.

We have a very hands-on approach. Specifically, we help founders strengthen their ideas, refine their business plan and, following the investment, we provide management and commercial expertise.

In total we can invest up to £250,000 in a given opportunity. However, a key investment criteria is that a significant milestone should be reached once the seed investment is spent, so that follow-on finance can be obtained. This means that very often we co-invest with other investors and lead investment round of circa £600K.
